Our mission
To serve and protect the community, ensure a safe learning and living environment, and maintain public safety through local law enforcement, fire protection and community partnerships.
Our values
- Integrity
- Service
- Transparency

Our seal shows the City crest (chartered 1891), the Fire Department badge and the Ashburn Police badge on a flag with a thin blue line.

Director
Message from the Director
Police and fire, one team, one standard.
Every day, the men and women of the Ashburn Department of Public Safety answer the call, whether it comes in as a fire, an emergency or a neighbor who needs help.
I expect two things from every member of this department: that they do the right thing when no one is watching, and that they treat every person with honesty, dignity and respect.
Our police officers and firefighters stand together as one team, and we stand with this community. Public safety is not something we do to Ashburn. It is something we do with Ashburn.
I am proud to lead this department, and I will always hold us to the standard this community deserves.
